24-Hour & Live-In Care
When your loved one should not be alone, Caring Hearts provides around-the-clock care at home: rotating 24-hour caregivers, overnight shifts and live-in arrangements across Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley.

Some situations call for a caregiver in the home at every hour: a recent fall, advancing dementia, a return from the hospital, hospice support, or simply a spouse who can no longer manage nights alone. Caring Hearts Premier Home Care has provided 24-hour and live-in care across the Coachella Valley for more than 25 years, with screened, insured caregivers and a care coordinator who keeps the whole schedule running.
We offer three ways to cover the clock. 24-hour care uses rotating caregivers on 8- or 12-hour shifts, so someone is awake and attentive at all times. Live-in care places a caregiver in the home for extended stays with a sleeping period, which suits clients who are generally settled at night. Overnight care covers the evening and early morning only, when families can manage the day themselves.

How 24-hour care starts
A care coordinator visits for a free in-home assessment, builds the schedule with the family and matches a small team of caregivers so faces stay familiar. Because we are an agency, coverage for illness and time off is our responsibility. Care can usually begin within one to two days of the assessment, and faster in urgent situations such as a hospital discharge.
Choosing between 24-hour and live-in
If your loved one is up several times a night, needs help with toileting or has a history of wandering, rotating 24-hour care with an awake caregiver is the safer choice. If nights are generally calm and the priority is having someone present, live-in care can be more economical. We will walk through both options and the costs during the consultation.

Common questions
How much does 24-hour home care cost in the Coachella Valley?
24-hour care is billed by the hour across rotating shifts; live-in care is typically a daily rate. The right option depends on how much help is needed overnight. We explain both clearly during the free consultation and help families understand long-term care insurance and VA benefits.
Is the overnight caregiver awake?
With 24-hour rotating care, yes. With live-in care the caregiver has a sleeping period, so it suits clients who generally sleep through the night.
How quickly can 24-hour care begin?
Usually within one to two days of the free assessment, and we regularly accommodate same-week starts after a hospital discharge.
