Dementia & Alzheimer's Care at Home
A familiar home, a familiar routine and a caregiver who knows how to meet your loved one where they are. Caring Hearts provides non-medical dementia and Alzheimer's care in Palm Desert and across the Coachella Valley, from a few hours a week to around-the-clock support.

People living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease usually do best in the place they know. Moving to a facility can be disorienting; staying home, with the right support, preserves familiar surroundings, routines and relationships. Caring Hearts Premier Home Care has helped Coachella Valley families care for parents and spouses with memory loss at home for more than 25 years.
Our caregivers are trained in memory care, and our leadership also serves as administrators at St. Mary's Love & Care Home, a state-licensed residential care home in Palm Desert that supports residents with dementia every day. Our caregivers know how to redirect rather than correct, how to keep a routine steady, how to spot the small changes that matter, and how to bring calm to a hard afternoon. Every care plan is built with the family and adjusted as needs change.

What dementia care at home looks like
Care usually begins with a free in-home assessment. A care coordinator meets your loved one, learns their history and habits, and talks with the family about what a good day looks like and where the hard moments are. From there we match a caregiver whose temperament fits, introduce them in person, and start with a schedule that can grow as needs change. Families receive regular updates, and the same coordinator stays involved.
Non-medical care that works with the medical team
Caring Hearts is a California-licensed Home Care Organization providing non-medical care. We do not diagnose or prescribe. We do provide the steady, everyday support that keeps a person with dementia safe and comfortable, and we coordinate with physicians, home health nurses and hospice teams so everyone works from the same plan.
Serving Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley
Our office is in Palm Desert and our caregivers live throughout the valley, including Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, La Quinta, Indio, Cathedral City and Desert Hot Springs. Phones are answered 24 hours a day, so if a situation changes overnight, someone picks up.
Common questions
How much does in-home dementia care cost in Palm Desert?
Rates depend on the hours and level of care. Most families start with daytime visits and add hours as needs grow. We explain our rates clearly during the free consultation, with no hidden fees, and we help families understand how long-term care insurance or VA benefits may apply.
Can you care for someone with advanced dementia at home?
Yes. Many of our clients have moderate to advanced dementia. We provide hands-on personal care, 24-hour and live-in options, and we coordinate with hospice when that time comes.
How do you handle wandering or sundowning?
Caregivers learn each client's patterns and use predictable routines, gentle redirection, good lighting and calm evening activities. We also work with families on practical home-safety steps.
Caring Hearts Premier Home Care serves clients across Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City, Palm Springs, La Quinta, Indio, Indian Wells, Coachella Valley, Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Newport Coast, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, and Irvine, Orange County.
